Going HOME....

Mindy, Me and Kayla
Going home is always so exciting. Getting home is even better but by the end of our trips we are so exhausted and ready to head home. I want to give my parents a big THANK YOU for basically being our hotel for our time home. We didn't get to spend as much time with them as we would have liked but look forward to their trips over here. We love you both so very much and thank you for all you do for us! I couldn't ask for better parents and I am so grateful Wade loves them like his own parents. our trip was full of craziness. My mom had a jewelry party Thursday night. Thanks to all that came with the AWESOME Promo that Premier is running for the month of February she was able to get just about $700.00 in FREE Jewelry. Between parties, Basketball Games, Going to the Temple, Family Pictures, Shopping and attending the missionary fair well for our Nephew Keegan. It was a great and emotional trip. Keegan is going to Magala Spain and he is going to be an amazing missionary.

There are many pro's and con's to living away I am so grateful that we are able to still live close enough that it is just a day drive. My apologies go out to anyone we offended, didn't get to see or spend enough time with. Time is short and we try to see everyone. Just know there is always a place to come visit and our door is always open.  Here is some pics of our trip home. I have so many more but blogger is SOOO Slow so this is it for now.

Happy 4th Birthday Miss Mylee!!

It is so hard to believe that this little princess is 4 years old! Where in the world does time go? I keep telling her I want to stay little and she insists that she wants to be big like Kenadee. So sad, but she is at a fun age and she sure is my best friend and my little side kick. We love you little lady and are so proud of you and the amazing sister and daughter that you are. You are stubborn but what can I say you take after your momma.

Showing off her Hello Kitty Rings Kenadee gave her.

The priceless look she on her face when we pulled out her bike.

Happy Girl!
We celebrated her birthday with Friends and a Super Bowl Party. Double the fun!!

Snow, Snow and more snow...

When we moved to Kennewick we were told that the weather over here is similar to Blackfoot, slightly warmer and not nearly as much snow. When it does snow it shuts the cities down funny it is totally true, there is a TON of snow that fell today...I am really kicking myself for leaving snow boots and snow clothes in Idaho. Good thing we will be there in a month and hopefully we will get to play in the snow a little bit while we are there...
just a little something to make you smile... As I said in a previous post that Taylee acts like she is super woman and nothing is going to keep her from doing anything and everything. I do believe Mylee has noticed because as she blessed the food tonight she says "and please bless Taylee that she will behave and get her cast off soon." Oh how I love my girls very much and there is not one single day that goes by that there isn't something that makes me laugh with these three!

Pine Wood Derby...FOR GIRLS?

For achievement days the leaders decided to do a Pine Wood Derby for the girls. (How fun is that?) They decorated their cars at the activities and yesterday they had the Derby. The girls had so much fun it was mass chaos while we were there but it was entertaining for an hour. One of the sisters said she took all the cars home and coated them with a clear coat there was so much glitter on them that they had to do something. (that made me giggle)

I will have to upload a pic later of KJ and her car..for some reason it will let me but it is side ways...(Sideways pictures drive me crazy)

anyhow while I was there one of the sisters were asking me what Wade and I's plans are if we were going to find a house in the ward or what. I mean we haven't really decided where we want to buy it is more of does the house have things that we really want and when I told her that, she gave me this blank look like hmm....then she said "can I ask what you are wanting in a house." I proceeded to tell her about our home in Idaho and how we loved it but it was little and blah blah blah and this being a home we hope to be in for a while I wanted things like a laundry room. Not just a washer and dryer in a closet with folding doors I want and actual room it doesn't have to be huge, and I want a sliding glass door to my back yard. This sister started to giggle. I said did I say something wrong and she said "no'' I just pictured you as the type that wants granite counter tops and custom cabinets and all the finer things. I said "oh no"... so we chatted for a while longer. When I got home I thought about it the conversation and it really hit me once again. You should NEVER put people in a category because what you may see them as is NOTHING that they really are. That lady that looks super cute with the perfect hair and not an ounce of fat on her may be the most insecure woman ever, or the lady that drives the nice car and has the most gorgeous house maybe struggling with things in her marriage or at her job or having trouble with her kids. The man or woman at the store with the scowl on their face like they hate the world they need to know that someone knows they exist even if you don't know their name.  So I ask you all one simple thing. Smile, say hi and make small talk you NEVER know what doing small and simple things will do for a person.

Breaking in the New Year...

Yes, I said BREAKING... The year has started off great. Wade and I sat down and wrote out some of our goals and things we want to achieve this year. (Most of them are things that we know we will not give up on)... some of mine have been...
  • getting up every morning with Wade (yes at 5am) to make him lunch and then not going back to bed until I have to get KJ up and ready for school. (yeah so I have gone back to bed a few times)
  • blogging... since we don't live so close to family any more I find it so important that everyone keeps up on what is happening with us.
  • taking more pictures
  • getting my jewelry business going in WA.
so that is just a few...
We have been having alot of fun getting to know the new place we call home. The Tri-cities is beautiful and Mylee, Tay and I have alot of fun going for drives (while waiting for KJ to get out of school) looking for area's that we would like to find a house in.  So when I say breaking....I mean we are 11 days into the new year we've all gotten over colds dodge the flu bug (knock on wood). We just get done eating dinner and Taylee was still standing on the dinning room chair playing her leap pad, making her sisters laugh when she starts dancing around she slips off the chair. Wade rolls her over slowly, he was hoping she just hyper extended her arm but we wanted to make sure. By the way she was crying I had a feeling it was broke there is just such a different cry when they are in serious pain. So I am running around the house trying to get socks and shoes so we can go to immediate care. In the mean time the older two go from laughing to bawling. We get to immediate care and sure enough after an hour and some x-rays its broken. The doctor was super nice and decided to wait until the next day to send us to and Ortho. He didn't mention where the break was or anything. So they wrapped her arm and sent us home. Thursday morning we go back in to immediate care and they tell us we have an appointment with Dr. Hsieh at Northwest Orthopedic in Richland at 5 that evening. So Tay was amazing all day. She never complained unless we bumped her arm. So we met with Dr. Hsieh at first they only allowed one of us in the casting room, so I go in with Tay and Wade stays out in the waiting room with the older two. Dr. Hsieh looked at the x-ray and started telling me that Tayee broke her elbow and that it could heal on its own but it would be better if we had surgery (which I had a feeling the night before when the doctor didn't explain anything to us) my heart sunk, I felt my eyes swell up with tears and I started to sweat. I asked the doctor if he could put us in a private room and bring Wade back. So  he did and we all decided that putting pins in Tay's arm was the best solution. So in for Surgery we went Friday the 13th. Everything went really well, it was one of the hardest days I have had to face yet. She came out of the anesthesia and freaked out so I got to go back to recovery and help calm her and then we were taken to the Pediatric floor at Kadlec Regional. Through all of this Wade was the strong one, he is the one that held it together better than me. Which I am so thankful last time we had a girl in the hospital I was the one staying strong. I am so grateful for Wade and all he does for the girls and I he truly is my rock and is making me a better person. Moving away from home has helped us become stronger and pulled us closer together. I love him (and my girls) more than anything.

Waiting for them to wrap it after the X-ray Wednesday night.
 Waiting to see Dr. Hsieh
in Dr. Hsieh casting room waiting for what we thought was going to be a cast.

Watching Tangled before we go into surgery.
TWO Pins placed in her Elbow. The break was alot worse that Dr. Hsieh originally thought.
Just coming out of recovery.

Waking up she wanted her Mickey Mouse.

We got a surprise visit that afternoon from 3 of the Seattle Mariner players. Dave Valle, Blake Beavan and Tom Wilhelmsen. Taylee could have cared less but I am 99% sure it brightened Wade's day!

This brought tears to my eyes. They have some high school girls that volunteer at the hospital and when one of them heard that Taylee loved Mickey mouse she went and got beads and made her this necklace. Seriously how precious is that and how big of a heart does that girl have to not have even met Taylee to go out of her way to do this.

This was Friday Night when we got home. She was finally wide awake and hungry.

Saturday morning bright and early this girl was hungry and ready to go. The cast has not slowed her down one bit. In fact, Wade and I both feel like she thinks she is now super woman. She has been jumping off things (yes I freak out) and wrestling with her sisters, and doing all the things she shouldn't be doing but how do you stop them from being little? You don't! They already grow up to fast. Just love them for one day they won't be little anymore!

Thanksgiving and Christmas

We had a fabulous Thanksgiving. We went home (to Blackfoot) and was able to spend time with our friends and family. I even was able to squeeze in a jewelry party within the 4 full days we were there. Mom, Kayla, my cousin Jenny and I went shopping the day after Thanksgiving. We weren't crazy and up waiting in lines and all that, but we did go to the Blackfoot Walmart at 5am and we pulled in to find an empty parking lot. Talk about blissful shopping, no standing in lines or watching people fight over items.

It was so much fun to go home and see everyone. To those we didn't get to see we will be home again soon. Plus I plan on coming home a lot this summer.

Christmas and New Years- OH Christmas was amazing. I will admit I was super emotional Christmas Eve for the last 28 years I have always spent Christmas Eve at my Grandma B's, just hanging out and having delicious snacks. Then when Wade and I got married Christmas eve was always spent an hour or two at my Grandma's and then the rest of the evening with Wade's mom Nicki. Her birthday is Christmas Eve so we always have a get together with his sisters and his step siblings. It is ALWAYS mass chaos but so much fun. Nicki and Gary always give the kids a present to open that night. The kids always love getting new PJ's and by Christmas Eve my girls are ALWAYS in desperate need for new ones. Anyhow this year we decided that instead of traveling to Idaho we would spend Christmas with just our cute little family. The girls opened their presents from Gama Nicki and Poppa Gary. Christmas Morning was so much fun, I am not sure if it was fun because Wade and I were excited for the girls or if the thought of cooking our own dinner and not having to go ANYWHERE was exciting. None the less we had so much fun and despite me missing seeing my family Christmas day and my Grandma's delicious dinner. We survived and are looking forward to many more Christmas Days 2011.
